Thoughts in Grief: Telling children about death of a grandparent

He passed away. He died. He's in our heart. Even if you can't see him, he is with you. This is what I tell my children about my father's death. They know he died, but they don't need to know all the details just yet. Children will naturally ask and wonder about their grandparents, why do we have a grandmother but not grandfather, why does that child or friend bring their grandfather to Grand day at school and I don't have one....Take a deep breath and smile and think of the things you want your children to know and remember, right now, about their passed grandparent/s. I've said, he's in our heart and with us even if we can't him.
